  My self and my wife went to this restaurant with out booking, they quickly sorted out a table for us. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was very good! as we tried different things we have to tried before. When it come to paying the bill I had a bit of a shock as the bill was a lot less then I thought it was going to be for the quality and service we had. If you are in the area I recommend you come here for food and go outside the box when you choose from the menu you will not be disappointed.

  This is a wonderful Indian restaurant. The food in the restaurant and the takeaways is always great. I have been using this restaurant for years and I have never had a bad meal. The staff are excellent too, like Jamal and Victor. I highly recommend The Gate of India. It is the best Indian restaurant I know. The Sunday buffet is great value! My friends come over regularly from Reading just for their food. Angela

  Lovely food and lovely staff. The nan bread was the best we'd ever had. Well worth a visit. Very sorry it's not nearer home or it would definitely become a regular haunt

  Very poor food, service matches. Not much on the atmosphere front either. Hook really struggles when it comes to Indian food. I wouldn't go here again unless fully refurbished and new management.
